The Hawkeye State Gives Back
More Than Sports.

The Hawkeye State was built to celebrate Iowa sports and the incredible athletes who represent our state.

But we also believe sports can be a force for good.

That's why 100% of the Meta Content Monetization revenue earned from our official scoreboard series is donated to Purify Project, helping provide safe drinking water to school children in rural Tanzania.

In June, The Hawkeye State's official scoreboard series generated $96 through Meta Content Monetization. While it may seem like a small amount, every dollar is donated to Purify Project, helping provide safe drinking water to school children in Tanzania. Together, our community is proving that a passion for Iowa sports can create a meaningful impact around the world.

About Purify Project

Purify Project is an Iowa-based nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing clean, safe drinking water to schools in Tanzania. For nearly a decade, our volunteers, donors, and partners have worked together to improve the health and education of thousands of students by installing sustainable water purification systems where they are needed most.

To date, Purify Project has completed 66 water purification system installations, providing reliable access to safe drinking water for children who previously faced the daily risks of contaminated water.

Today, the organization is taking another major step forward by establishing its first water laboratory in Tanzania. The laboratory will support long-term water quality testing, system maintenance, local training, and ongoing oversight—helping ensure every installation continues delivering safe drinking water for years to come.

Every project is built with one goal in mind: creating healthier schools, stronger communities, and brighter futures—one cup at a time.
